To-try list in London, Fall 2010

European

Terroirs, Charing Cross
"In this most tourist-clogged of areas, it's a joy to find a brilliant wine bar offering fantastic food, terrific wines and a buzzing Gallic atmosphere - all at reasonable prices." - Time Out

Bocca Di Lupo, Soho
"black risotto of cuttlefish & its ink – another stunner, and also substantial given that it was a small size. Remember to smile at your friends afterwards!" - World Foodie Guide

---

Spanish

Iberica Food & Culture, Great Portland St
"The paellas are fabulous. Our sumptuous version was laden with perfectly cooked squid, prawns, langoustine and mussels in vibrant, full-flavoured rice. Angular white plates and slate platters make for stylish presentation." - Time Out

---

Japanese

Sushi of Shiori, Warren St
"Personable, tireless attention to detail, flamboyant presentation, a charming husband and wife team, modest, unpretentious, legitimate and above all, unique." - London Eater

New and exciting

Les Deux Salons, Charing Cross
"I suffered serious food envy when B’s main of Belly of Pork Petit Salé, Lentils and Autumn Vegetables was unveiled. It smelt, looked and tasted incredible. Juicy slabs of lightly-salted pork belly, a thick slice of garlicky sausage, tender puy lentils and sweet vegetables, cooked al dente. Pleasingly rustic yet refined at the same time." - Gourmet traveler

Otarian, Soho
“the planet’s first low-carbon restaurant”. Chain style veggie outlet.
